NEW IBERIA ~ Services for Mr. Vernice Pierre Hebert, 71, will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at Saint Peters Catholic Church with the Rev. Charles Langlois officiating. Entombment will follow in Holy Family Mausoleum. Visiting hours will be observed Tuesday, March 18, 2008 from 3:00 PM until 10:00 PM with a rosary being recited at 7:00 PM at David Funeral Home. Visitation will resume Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at 8:00 AM until the time of service. A native and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Hebert died at 11:20 AM Monday, March 17, 2008, at his New Iberia residence. Mr. Hebert was lovingly known as Pierre. He loved to watch television especially wrestling and western movies. Pierre worked for Taylor Drug Store for many years. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Evelyn Landry Hebert; daughter, Veronica Ronnie LeJeune and husband Kenny; three grandchildren, Sarah A., Jessica L. and Zachary R. LeJeune; great-grandson, Bailey Tucker; two brothers, John A. Hebert and wife Harriet, and Allen I. Hebert and wife Margaret; two sisters, Earline Duhon and Inez Boullion; six brothers-in-law, Victor Landry and wife Jeanette, Raymond, Elton, Milton, Earl and Henry Sonny Landry; sister-in-law, Viola Milliman; mother-in-law, Vernet B. Landry; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. His parents, Dedier and Levie Romero Hebert; father-in-law, Noah Landry; two sisters-in-law, Elsie Landry and Dovey Landry; and two brothers-in-law, Wallace Duhon and Earl Boullion, Sr. preceded Mr. Hebert in death. Pallbearers will be members of Mr. Heberts family. David Funeral Home of New Iberia, 1101 Trotter Street (337) 369-6336, is in charge of the arrangements.
