New Iberia " Funeral Services will be conducted for Mr. Harold Pete J. Gaspard, 60, at 1:00 PM Thursday, April 3, 2008 at David Funeral Home Chapel with Evangelist Kathy N. Hayes officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be observed Thursday April 3, 2008 from 9:00 AM until the time of service at David Funeral Home. A native of Jefferson Island and a resident of New Iberia, Mr. Gaspard died at 10:45 PM Saturday, March 29, 2008, at his residence. Mr. Gaspard, also known to many as Pete , enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, along with his dog Sweetie. He is survived by his son, Donald Gaspard of Franklin; sisters, Marylin G. Moneaux of New Iberia, Verla G. Gonsoulin and Theresa G. Hayes, both of Coteau; brothers, Paul D., John R. and Ronnie D. Gaspard, all of New Iberia; former wife, Betty Crochet Gaspard of Franklin; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Gaspard was preceded in death by his parents, Otis L. Gaspard, Sr. and Olympa Bourque Gaspard; brothers, Eutis, Herman and Otis L. Gaspard, Jr.; and sisters, Laura L. Simon and Mary Lee Gaspard. Pallbearers will be Anthony Hayes, Shannon Hayes, Johnny Morvant, Herman Gaspard, Jr., Jason Gaspard and Pee Wee Clements.
