New Iberia " Funeral Services will be conducted for Mr. Charles Joseph Ronsonet, Sr., Age 80, at 11:00AM Saturday May 31, 2008 at David Funeral Home Chapel with Father Ed Degeyter officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday May 30, 2008 from 4:00PM until 9:00PM with a praying of the Rosary at 7:00PM and again Saturday from 8:00AM until service time. He died Thursday May 29, 2008 at 3:45PM at his residence in New Iberia. Military Graveside services will be conducted by VFW post 1982. A native of Iberia Parish and resident of New Iberia Mr. Ronsonet has been married to the former Barbara Moss for 56 years. He was an active member of St. Peters Catholic Church and a member of the St. Peters Mens Vigil. He was also a volunteer at St. Francis Diner. Mr. Charles was retired from Texaco as an independent consultant after 50 years of service. He was also retired as a 1st Sergeant with the La. National Guard after 33 years of service. Survivors include his wife; Barbara Moss Ronsonet of New Iberia, one son; Charles Joseph Ronsonet, Jr. of New Iberia, four daughters; Cheryl R. Denison and husband Richard, Susan Hanks, Fran Norris and husband Johnny and Phyllis Breaux all of New Iberia, grandchildren; Richard Denison, Jr. and wife Madeleine, Jacob Denison, Lauren Hanks and fiance Jared Beuhler, John Norris IV, Luke Norris, Megan Breaux and Zachary Breaux all of New Iberia, great grandchildren; Jordan and Ian Beuhler also of New Iberia and two nieces and four nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Ducleon and Marie Dartez Ronsonet, two brothers; Wesley and Harry Ronsonet and two sisters; Ruby McKinney and Lillian Ronsonet. Pallbearers will be Richard Denison Jr., Jacob Denison, Jared Beuhler, John Norris IV, Zachary Breaux and Luke Norris.
