Lafayette- A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at 3:30PM,at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Broussard for Mr.Henry Paul Romero, age, 83 who passed away on Sunday, March 30,2008 at 6:20PM at Lafayette Extended Care Hospital. Father Louis Richard will be officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday April 1, 2008 from 4:00-9:00PM at David Funeral Home Chapel with a Rosary being prayed at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Wednesday April 2, 2008 from 8:00AM until time of services. Internment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery. A native and a resident of Broussard, Mr. Romero was an employee of Evangeline Maid Bread Company for 45 years. Mr.Romero is survived by his wife, Amy Trahan Romero, of Broussard; one daughter, Joann Fontenot and her husband Herbert of Dequincy, La.; three step-daughters; Gloria Foreman of LeRoy, La., Susie Rodrigue and her husband Joseph of Dulac,La. and Jan Benoit, of Baton Rouge; one step-son, Jessie Benoit,of Cleveland, Ohio. Twenty GrandChildren and Eight Great-GrandChildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Zoe LeBlanc Romero. PallBearers will be; Herbert Fontenot, Elwood Foreman, Jr., Joseph Raymond Turner, Joseph Rodrigue,Jr., Christopher Ridler, Jessie Benoit and Jaque Benoit.
