Loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother

Loreauville " A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Mrs. Francis Dupoy, the former Lorena Broussard, Age 80, at 11:00AM Thursday April 3, 2008 at St. Josephs Catholic Church with Father Buddy Breaux officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday April 2, 2008 from 4:00PM until 9:00PM with a Rosary being prayed at 6:30PM. Visitation will resume Thursday from 8:00AM until funeral time. She died Monday March 31, 2008 at 3:45PM at a Lafayette Health Care Facility.

A native of St. Martinville Mrs. Dupoy was born September 8, 1927 to the late Ovignac and Ella Verret Broussard. She enjoyed baking, cooking, ironing and caring for her family especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving husband, Francis Dupoy of Loreauville, her son; Warren Dupoy and wife Christine of Breaux Bridge, her daughter Gladys Dupoy Lasseigne and husband Wayne also of Loreauville, her four grandchildren; Francine Dupoy, Raylene Dupoy Choplin and husband Tim, Sr., Heidi Lasseigne Bryan and husband Robert and Dillon Lasseigne, her three great grandchildren; Brilee Bryan, Carter Bryan and Tim Choplin, Jr. She is also survived by her oldest sister; Lilly B. Trahan, her youngest sister; Nellie B. Faucheaux and husband James Cecil Faucheaux, Sr., her brother-in-law; Claude Chastant, her sister-in-law; Mildred Dupoy Gonsoulin and husband Ronald all of Loreauville. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews; Gregory Chastant and wife Pam and their two children, Claudette Chastant Berard and husband Mark and their child, James Jim Faucheaux, Jr. and wife Juliana and their two children, Ella Faucheaux Breaux and husband Roy Breaux, Jr. and their two children, Angela Angie Faucheaux, Janice Gonsoulin Crochet and husband Kirk and their three children, Theresa Tessie Gonsoulin Prados and husband Gerald Buster and their four children and Ronald Ronnie Gonsoulin, Jr. and wife Maxine and their child.

We cannot fail to mention that Mrs. Dupoy also leaves behind what she would call her adopted grandchildren and great grandchildren; Brandi Neuville Walet and husband Shane and their three children, Misty Neuville Delahoussaye and husband Tommy, Lacey and Dusty Neuville all of Loreauville.

Mrs. Dupoy was preceded in death by her parents; Ovignac and Ella Verret Broussard formerly of St. Martinville, one sister; Florence Flo Chastant and one brother-in-law; Leonce Trahan both formerly of Loreauville.

Pallbearers will be Warren Dupoy, Wayne Lasseigne, Gregory Chastant, Ronald Ronnie Gonsoulin, Jr., James Jim Faucheaux, Jr. and Shane Walet.

Honorary pallbearers will be Roy Breaux, Jr., Dusty Neuville and Mark Berard.

Her family would like to sincerely thank the staffs of Heart Hospital of Lafayette and the Louisiana Extended Care of Lafayette General Hosptial for the wonderful care she received. Also a very special thanks to Doctors Jon D. Leleux and Staff and Gary G. Guidry and Staff for their compassionate care.
