Jeanerette " Funeral Services will be conducted for Jason Joseph Albert, Age 36, at 10:00AM Wednesday April 9, 2008 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Deacon Chris Doumit officiating. Interment will follow at St. Nicholas Mausoleum in Patoutville. Visitation will be Tuesday April 8, 2008 from 9:00AM until 10:00PM with a Rosary being prayed at 6:30PM and a service by Rev. Roland Fontenot at 5:00PM. Visitation will resume Wednesday from 8:00AM until service time.

A native of Franklin and a longtime resident of Patoutville Jason died Saturday April 5, 2008 at 8:40AM in a local hospital.

He loved fishing, golf, shopping, baseball, diving, cooking and working.

Survivors include his wife; Gennie Espinal Albert of Scranton, Pennsylvania, two sons; Dustin Richard of New Iberia and Seth Hebert of Jeanerette, two daughters; Ivy and Jade Diaz of Scranton, Pennsylvania, parents; A.J. Albert and wife Cynthia Olivier Albert of New Iberia and Brenda Derouen Trotter and husband Jim Trotter of Patoutville, brother; Troy Albert and wife Liz of Paris, Texas, step sisters; Genest Landry of Austin, Texas and Tammy Trotter of Falon, Nevada.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents; Leonie and Sylvia Louviere Albert, maternal grandparents; Douglas and Mary Garrera Derouen and maternal step-grandfather; George Broomahop.

Pallbearers will be Douglas Derouen, David Clement, Brent Robicheaux, Louis Espinal, Chris Guardia and Jacob Derouen.
