Erath- Funeral Services for Percy Palombo, 88, will be at 12:30PM on Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at The David Funeral Home Chapel of Erath with Fr. Wayne Duet officiating. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Earth beginning on Monday, April 21, 2008 from 2:00PM until 9:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Tuesday, April 22, 2008 from 8:00AM until the time of the services. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Mausoleum. Mr. Palombo a native of Maurice and a resident of Erath died at 1:00PM on Saturday, April 19, 2008 a local nursing home. He was a retired cook in for Mobil Oil, loved fishing and hunting, a member of The Erath American Legion, and served his country in the Army during World War II. He is survived by two sons, Russell Lee and his wife Kathryn Palombo of Erath and Robert Keith and his wife Peggy Palombo of Delcambre; two daughters, Elaine Marie and her husband Bill Garrett of Rush Springs, OK and Janiel Ann and her husband Nelson Hargrave of Kaplan; two sisters, Zula Duhon of Abbeville and Mary Ann Hunt of South Bend, IN; twenty-one grandchildren, fourty-two great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Inez Marie Primeaux Palombo; his parents, Loveless and Olita Denias Palombo; a brother, Francis Palombo; and two sisters, Bernice Gary and Delta Mouton. Serving as pallbearers will be Mr. Palombos Grandsons. David Funeral Home of Erath at 209 E. Putnam (337)937-0405 will be handling the arrangrments.
