Dennis Romero officiating. Christy was born November 7, 2007 in Lafayette and was a resident of Forked Island. She is survived by her parents, Cassie and Christopher Demette, Sr. of Forked Island; two brothers Christopher Demette, Jr. and Caleb Demette of Forked Island; paternal grandmother Theresa Soley Demette of Ester; maternal grandparents, Ricky and Marion Kathy Miller of Forked Island; three uncles, Joshua Miller and wife Carmen of Forked Island, Charles Demette of Ester, and Lennis Demette of Ester; three aunts, Joeanna Miller Hargrave and husband Eric of Forked Island, Verna Demette of Ester, and Joanna Demette of Ester. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Raoul T. B. Demette. Pallbearers will be Ricky Miller and Joshua Miller David Funeral Home of Abbeville, 2600 Charity Street (337) 893-3777 will be handling the arrangements.
