New Iberia"A funeral service honoring the life of Mrs. William Bill Hill, the former Nettie Tenney Dye, 88, will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. in David Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Paul Onugebe will officiate. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2008 from 3:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. in David Funeral Home, with a rosary being recited at 7:00 P.M. Visitation will continue on Thursday from 8:00 A.M. until service time in the funeral home.

Mrs. Hill passed away on Monday, April 21, 2008 at 4:45 P.M. in a Jeanerette care facility. A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Hill was a dedicated mother who centered her life around her family and friends. She was a loving grandmother and great-grandmother, always working tirelessly to place others needs before her own. Mrs. Hill was a friend, true to all. She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Sherdell D. Oubre and husband, Jerry of New Iberia; grandsons, David Oubre and wife, Amanda of Houston, TX and Stephen Oubre and wife, Shea of Mandeville; granddaughters, Melissa Sharpe and husband, Brent of New Iberia and Michelle Gallagher and husband, Matt of Madisonville; great-grandchildren, Matthew Gallagher of Madisonville, Zachary Gallagher of Madisonville, Noah Sharpe of New Iberia, Evan Oubre of Houston, TX, Emily Oubre of Mandeville, Molly Oubre of Houston, TX, and Rachel Oubre of Mandeville and sister-in-law, Bertha Tenney of New Iberia. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Preceding Mrs. Hill in death were her first husband, John Dye; second husband, William Bill Hill; parents, Dennis and Carmelite Migues Tenney; sister, Evelyn Bayard; brothers, Alan Tenney, Sr. and Shuble Tenney, Sr.; and sister-in-law, Ruby Tenney.

Serving as pallbearers are David Oubre, Stephen Oubre, Stuart Viator, Jeremy Ackal, Matt Gallagher, and Brent Sharpe. Named as honorary pallbearers are Shuble Tenney, Jr., Danny Bayard, Jason Viator, John Oubre, and Tim Oubre.
