Abbeville - A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Wayne Broussard the former Helen DeMarcy, 62, will be held at St.Theresa Catholic Church on Monday August 6, 2007 at 1:30PM with Father Kenneth Mayne officiating. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Abbeville on Sunday, August 5, 2007 from 11:30AM until 9:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Monday August 6, 2007 from 8:00AM until time of service. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery.

Mrs. Broussard, a native of Abbeville and a resident of Abbeville passed away August 3, 2007 at 9:30PM at her residence.

Mrs. Broussard liked to sew, do crafts, work in her yard with her flowers. She was an excellent cook and baker,who baked for everyone. She was a very thoughtful,generious, and great hostess.

She is survived by her husband Wayne G.Broussard; two sons Dedrick and Austin Broussard; three daughters, Cyd Nugent, Miranda Broussard and Morgana Broussard all of Abbeville; three brothers, Ray Allen DeMarcy and Sydney "Bubba" DeMarcy of Abbeville and Carroll DeMarcy of Arkansas; five sisters, Vivian Breaux of Abbeville, Marilyn Morvant of Kaplan, Eleanor Dartez of Abbeville, Goldie Hebert of Kaplan and Gloria Robinson of Lafayette; one grandson Treyton Nugent of Abbeville; two granddaughters Rosanna Nugent and Adrienne Nugent of Abbeville.

She was preceded in death by her parents Sidney W. and Lucille Sorbet DeMarcy and one brother Hartwell Demarcy.

Pallbearers will be Patrick "Bo" DeMarcy, Chad Dartez, Heath DeMarcy, Damian DeMarcy, Hank Morvant and Kelly Morvant. Honorary Pallbear will be Treyton Nugent.

David Funeral Home of Abbeville will be handling arrangements.
