LOVING HUSBAND, FATHER, GRANDFATHER, AND GREAT-GRANDFATHER

Loreauville"A funeral service honoring the life of Wilson Joseph Nigga Guillotte, 79, of Loreauville will be held on Monday, August 6, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. in David Funeral Home. Deacon Theo Landry will officiate. Private entombment will be held at a later date in All Saints Mausoleum.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 5, 2007 from 1:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. in David Funeral Home, with a rosary to be recited at 6:00 P.M. Visitation will continue on Monday from 8:00 A.M. until service time in the funeral home.

Mr. Guillotte passed away on Saturday, August 04, 2007 at 4:16 A.M. in a New Iberia hospital.

A native of Jeanerette, Mr. Guillotte was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during the Korean Conflict. He had a wonderful sense of humor, and would gladly tell jokes and funny tales to anyone who would listen. An excellent cook, Mr. Guillotte was known far and wide for his tasty gumbo. He was a carpenter and contractor who took great pride in the homes he built. Mr. Guillotte enjoyed gardening, fishing, playing cards, and drinking beer. An avid baseball fan, his favorite team was the Atlanta Braves.

Remaining to remember Mr. Guillotte are his wife, Bertha LeBlanc Guillotte of Loreauville; son, Robert Guillotte of Loreauville; daughter, Linda Derouen and husband, Brent of Loreauville; grandchildren, Chad Michael Guillotte and wife, Hallie of Loreauville, Mandi Leigh Pooler and husband, Brent of Broussard, and Joshua Paul Derouen of Loreauville; great-grandchildren, Shaw and Cameron Guillotte of Loreauville, and Everett and Collin Pooler of Broussard; sister, Viola Guillotte of New Iberia; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Preceding Mr. Guillotte in death were his parents, Robert and Alice Schwab Guillotte; brothers, ONeil, Oswald, Russell, Wilfred, Bob, and Whitney Guillotte; and sisters, Odelia Ransonet, Yolanda Benoit, and Elvie Migues.

David Funeral Home of Loreauville is in charge of arrangements.
