Rynella"A Mass of Christian Burial for Marty James Segura will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. in St. Marcellus Catholic Church. The Reverend Ed Degeyter will serve as celebrant, and Deacon Theo Landry will serve as Deacon of the Mass. Interment will follow in St. Marcellus Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2008 from 11:00 A.M. until 10:00 P.M. in David Funeral Home, 1101 Trotter Street, New Iberia, with a rosary to be recited at 6:30 P.M. Visitation will continue on Wednesday from 8:00 A.M. until service time in the funeral home.

A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, Mr. Segura died on Saturday, April 12, 2008 at 2:15 P.M. in M.D. Anderson Medical Center in Houston, TX.

Marty was a very fun loving person who loved life to the fullest. He enjoyed riding his four-wheeler and jet-ski, and was passionate about hunting and fishing. Marty loved to gather with family and friends at the camp.

Martys survivors, all of whom call New Iberia home, include his son, Jason Segura; daughter, Brooklyn Segura; fianc, Emma Bourque Judice; parents, Lory and Aline Delahoussaye Segura; sisters, Margaret Adams and husband, Darrell and Jackie Toucheque and husband, Dean; brothers, Randy Stick Segura, Arty Segura and wife, Penny, and Joey Segura; nephews, Dustin Adams, Skye Toucheque, Torey Toucheque, and A.J. Segura; niece, Taylor Adams; and great niece, Aubrie Grace Adams.

Preceding Marty in death were his maternal grandparents, Theo and Eva Delahoussaye; and paternal grandparents, Arty and Mildred Segura.

Serving as pallbearers are Randy Segura, Arty Segura, Joey Segura, Jason Segura, Dustin Adams, and Skye Toucheque.

David Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.
