Charles Raymond Miceli

New Iberia " A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Mr. Charles Raymond Miceli, age 84 on Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at 11:00 AM in the David Funeral Home Chapel with Fr. Greg Cormier officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery with military graveside rites to be conducted by V.F.W. Post 1982 of New Iberia. Visitation will begin on Monday, April 14, 2008 at 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM and resume on Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at 8:00 AM until services. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM on Monday in the funeral home by the Knights of Columbus Council 3425 and the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus Msgr. Langlois Assembly. A native of Port Barre and a resident of New Iberia, Mr. Maceli died on Saturday, April 12, 2008 at 8:30 PM in a New Iberia hospital. He was a Veteran of World War II having served in the US Army. He retired from Shell Oil Company. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus Council 3425 and the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus Msgr. Langlois Assembly. He enjoyed going to the casino and traveling. He will be sadly missed by family and friends. He is survived by his sister, Catherine Martinez and her husband Lindon of Metairie; his brothers, Frank Miceli and his wife Carol, Paul Miceli and his wife Carolyn all of Baton Rouge, Peter Miceli of Lafayette and Walter Vincent Miceli and his wife Marcia of Kissimmee, FL; his grandchildren, Caleb, Daniel and Margaret Miceli all of Sugartown and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gertrude Schexnayder Miceli; his parents, Charles Nathan Miceli and Rose Arnaud Miceli; his son, Carl Miceli; his sister, Mary Lee Adams and his brothers, John Benjamin and Jacques Jack Miceli. Pallbearers will be Shep and Brent Thibodeaux, Frank, Paul, Peter and Walter Vincent Miceli. Honorary pallbearers will be Caleb and Daniel Miceli. David Funeral Home of New Iberia, 1101 Trotter St. (337) 369-6336 is in charge of arrangements.
