Youngsville - A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2008 at 10:00AM in David Funeral Home Chapel for Mr. Willis "Bee" Pierre Trahan, Age 86. Visitation will begin on Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at 1:00PM until 8:00PM with a rosary being prayed at 7:00PM and will resume on Thursday, April 17, 2008 at 9:00AM until service time. Deacon Cody Miller will be officiating.

Interment will follow in LeBlanc Cemetery in Vermilion Parish

A native of Abbeville and a resident of Youngsville, Mr. Trahan passed away on April 14, 2008 at 8:07PM in Southwest Medical Center in Lafayette. Mr. Trahan was an avid self-employed Farmer who enjoyed working outdoors and cajun dancing. His greatest pleasure was his family whom he loved dearly.

Mr. Trahan was survived by his wife, Lucille Trahan of Youngsville; daughters, Brenda Broussard and her husband Paul Ned of Youngsville, Mona Groetsch and her husband Richard of Youngsville, Vivian Dugas of Basile, Zelma Jackson and her husband Cecil of Arnaudville, Gail Choplin and her husband Sidney of Lafayette, Pam Trahan and her daughter Elizabeth of Youngsville and Darlene Caron and her husband Art of Iowa; son, David Trahan and his wife Laurie of Youngsville; twenty-one grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren; sister, Gladys Frederick of Erath; special friends, Maydel LeBlanc of Youngsville, Carol "Peanut" Carpenter of Cecilia, Elwood "Boogas" Dugas of Rayne, Dana Broussard of Lafayette and John Trahan of Youngsville; also several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Adrien and Lucette Broussard Trahan, sisters, Betty Trahan and Lucille Sonnier and brother, Lloyd Trahan.

The family wishes to give special thanks to the staff of Our Lady of the Oaks Retirement Home for the wonderful care they provided and to Southwest Medical Center for their special care they exhibited.

In lieu of flowers the family would like donations to be made to help defray the cost of the funeral expenses. Donations may be mailed to 394 Sunset Drive; Lafayette, La. 70501 in care of Gail Choplin.
