Lafayette- A Mass of Christian Burial for Frank Bubba Bernard, Jr., 54, will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, April 18, 2008 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Fr. Jody Simoneaux officiating. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Thursday, April 17, 2008 from 5:00PM until 9:00PM, with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM, and will resume on Friday, April 18, 2008 from 8:00AM until time of service. Interment will follow at St. Leo Cemetery in Rayne.

Mr. Bernard, a native of Beaumont and a resident of Broussard, passed away at 12:58PM on Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at his residence. He enjoyed tinkering on cars, fishing, hunting, football and NASCAR.

He is survived by his wife, Stacy Evans Bernard of Broussard; a son, Frank Bernard, III of Broussard; two daughters, Ashlyn Bernard and her companion Garrett Langford of Alvin, TX and Jordan Bernard of Broussard; a sister, Linda Crum of Seabrook, TX; two dogs, Tex and Trixie; and two cats, Socks and Sid.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank Joseph Bernard, Sr. and Gertrude Cecelia Ohlenforst Bernard; and his brother, Dennis Bernard.

Pallbearers will be David Leger, Wayne Leger, Jules Simoneaux, Ray Carr, Matt Crochet and Kevin Crochet.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Ricky Legnon and Monk Crochet.

David Funeral Home of Lafayette will be handling arrangements.
