Lafayette - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April 28, 2008 at 2:00PM in St. Anne Catholic Church for Mr. Calvin Hardin Smith, Jr. Mr. Smith passed away on Friday April 25, 2008 at 1:00PM at his residence in Youngsville.

Visitation will begin on Sunday, April 27, 2008 at 11:00AM to 10:00PM and will resume on Monday April 28, 2008 from 8:00AM until services. A rosary will be recited on Sunday April 27, 2008 at 7:00PM in the David Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at St. Ann Mausoleum.

A native of Corpus Christi, Texas, Mr.Smith was a longtime resident of Youngsville.

Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Rosa Belle Primeaux Smith of Youngsville; daughters Monica Broussard and her husband Macy of Abbeville, Katina Broyles and her husband John of Youngsville, Melinda Robicheaux and her husband Daniel of New Iberia and Cindy Waguespack of New Iberia; one son, Johnny Waguespack of Youngsville; grandsons, Bryce Broussard of Abbeville and Miles Robicheaux of New Iberia; granddaughters, Chelsea Broyles of Youngsville, Courtney Robicheaux of New Iberia, Joely Toucheque of New Iberia and Starla Waguespack of New Iberia; one great-granddaughter, Jadyn Louivere of New Iberia.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin Hardin and Ima Jean Bradshaw Smith; two sons, Bobby Waguespack and Preston Waguespack; father-in-law, Alton Primeaux and mother-in-law Rose' Primeaux and one uncle, Marvin "Cotton" Bradshaw.

Pallbearers will be Macy Broussard, John Broyles, Daniel Robicheaux, Miles Robicheaux, William Louivere and Minos Girard.

In leiu of flowers the family would like donations to be made to Hospice of Acadiana 2600 Johnston Street, Suite 200, Lafayette, La, 70503 in Memory of Calvin Hardin Smith, Jr.
