Herman Joseph Broussard

New Iberia " A memorial service will be conducted for Mr. Herman Joseph Peket Broussard, age 87, at 10:00AM Saturday May 10, 2008 at David Funeral Home Chapel with Father Ed Degeyter officiating. Inurnment will follow at Beau Pre Memorial Park Mausoleum. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 9:00AM until service time. He died Wednesday April 30, 2008 in a New Iberia Hospital. A native and lifelong resident of Iberia Parish Mr. Broussard was a retired foreman at Morton Salt Company. He enjoyed sports and he loved to dance. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Survivors include five children; Keith Broussard and wife Kathy and Reggie Broussard and wife Janna all of New Iberia, Philip Broussard and wife Sandy of Jeanerette, Stephanie Simoneaux and husband Alvin of Franklin and Colleen Guillot and husband Wayne of Bayou Jack, 15 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raphael and Elda Louviere Broussard, brothers; Howard, Lester and Edwin Broussard, sisters; Viola and Avia Myers, Valarie Morris, Rita Mae Migues and Enola Touchet.
