Lafayette " A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, May 10 at 1:00PM at David Funeral Home Chapel for Mrs. Lillian Margaret Girouard Wainwright, age 89, who passed away on Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at 1:50PM, at Camelot of Broussard. Visitation will begin on Friday, May 9, 2008 at 11:00AM until 9:00PM with a Rosary being recited at 7:00PM and will resume on Saturday, May 10, 2008 at 9:00AM until services. Deacon Cody Miller will officiate. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Broussard.

A native and resident of Broussard, Mrs. Lillian was a graduate of St. Cecilia School in Broussard and a graduate of University of Southwestern Louisiana with a degree in education. She was employed by the Lafayette Parish School Board for 36 plus years.

Mrs. Lillian is survived by her sons; Tommy James Wainwright, Jr., Charles L. Wainwright, Kenneth R. Wainwright and Webster H. Wainwright; sister Grace G. Richard; brother, Lawrence Girouard; 10 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her father, Dominic Girouard; her mother, Jeanne Theaux Girouard; sisters, Beatrice Chook Girouard and Marie Louise "Sis" Girouard Jones; son, Daniel F. Wainwright and her husband Tommy James Wainwright, Sr.

Pallbearers will be Webster Wainwright, William Wainwright, Chris Wainwright, David Richard, William Girouard and Shane Zagar. Honorary pallbearers will be Adam Wainwright, Burt Wainwright, Carroll Wainwright and Dominic Wainwright.

The family wishes to express their thanks to Heart of Hospice and the staff at Camelot of Broussard. Their care and kindness was greatly appreciated.
