Abbeville " Funeral Services for Mr. Floyd Francis Bernard, 76, will be held at 2:30 PM on Wednesday, May 13, 2008 at The David Funeral Home Chapel of Abbeville with Deacon David Vaughn officiating. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Abbeville on Tuesday, May 13, 2008 from 2:30 PM until 9:00 PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, May 14, 2008 from 9:00 AM until the time of services. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery. Mr. Bernard, a native of Esther, Louisiana and a resident of Abbeville died at 7:05 AM at the Heart Hospital of Lafayette. He was employed by USL as Chief Engineer of Maintenance until his retirement. He served his country in the U. S. Air Force from 1952 to 1956. He is survived by his wife Nerel Mcgehee Bernard of Abbeville; three sons Keith F. Bernard of Cow Island, Lamonte Louis Bernard and Raett John Bernard both of Intracoastal City; one daughter Mona Bernard Stelly of Cow Island; one sister Florence B. Marceaux of Kaplan; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Numa Louis Bernard and Cinderella White Bernard.
