Loving husband, father and grandfather New Iberia " Services for Larry Robert Fitch, 90, will be conducted at 3:00 PM Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at David Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Noah Langley and Rev. Roland Fontenot officiating. Entombment will follow in Holy Family Mausoleum. Visiting hours will be observed Wednesday, May 14, 2008 10:00 AM until the time of service at David Funeral Home. A native of Patoutville and a resident of New Iberia, Mr. Fitch died at 11:30 AM Monday, May 12, 2008, in a New Iberia nursing home. Mr. Fitch was a Veteran of the United States Army, having served in World War II. He enjoyed working and spending time with his family. He retired with Reading & Bates Drilling Company after many years of service. He is survived by wife Juanita Pyles Fitch of New Iberia; daughters, Betty Rogers and husband Don of New Iberia, Doris Johnson and husband Vaughn of Tehachapi, Ca., and Norma Faye Jenkins and husband Gary of Indianapolis, IN; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Inez F. Boullion of New Iberia. Mr. Fitch was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Adolis Broussard Fitch; brothers, Hypolite and Phillip Fitch; and sister, Effie Toups. Pallbearers will be Kevin Rogers, Brady Rogers, Scott Semar, Seneca Bouton, Wilton Fitch and Bret Barras. Honorary pallbearers will be Don Rogers, Vaughn Johnson and Gary Jenkins. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Fitchs name to Hospice of Acadiana, 2600 Johnston Street, Suite 200, Lafayette, Louisiana 70503.
