Thomas Daniel Long

Lafayette- Private services for Thomas Daniel Long, 60, will be held at a later date. Mr. Long, a native of Boston, MA and a resident of Broussard, passed away on Tuesday, November 6, 2007 at Lafayette General Hospital. He had no children of his own but his favorites, which he loved, were his great great niece Aubrey and his step-grandchild Kimberley. He worked at Aries Marine Corporation for 15 years as a cook and will be sadly missed. He is survived by his wife, Angelica Gomez Long of Broussard; his step-son, Oziel Thompson Casanova Jr. of Houston; three step-daughters, Gina Maria Casanova of Broussard, Anna Maria Foley of Houston and Donna Lynn Steinman of Lafayette; four brothers, Bill Long of Massachusetts, Jim Long of Massachusetts, John Long of Seattle, WA and Bobby Long of Massachusetts; nine step-grandchildren; twelve step- great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, William Long and Margaret Mary MacLellam Long. David Funeral Home of Lafayette will be handling arrangements.
