Abbeville " Funeral Services for Joseph Dewey Landry, 89, will be held at 10:30AM on Thursday, May 15, 2008 at the David Funeral Home Chapel of Abbeville with Fr. Chauvin officiating. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Abbeville on Wednesday, May 14, 2008 from 5:00PM until 8:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Thursday, May 15, 2008 from 8:00AM until the time of the services. Interment will follow at St. Paul Cemetery. Mr. Landry, a native of Henry and a resident of Abbeville, passed away at 11:30AM on Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at an Abbeville nursing home. He was a mechanic and liked fishing. He is survived by his wife, Adeline Toups Landry of Abbeville; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Enola Hebert and Joseph Alboin Landry; two brothers, John Roy Landry and Paul Ray Landry; and a sister, Mrs.Vernest Shirley Broussard. Pallbearers will be Steve C. Landry, Sr., Steve C. Landry, Jr., Curtis Broussard, Clyde Broussard, James Landry and Paul Gerald Landry. David Funeral Home of Abbeville will be handling the arrangements.
