Patricia Mcquaig Vaughn

Loreauville " Funeral Services will be conducted for Mrs. Rufus J.Vaughn the former Patricia Pat McQuaig, Age 80, at 10:00AM Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at St. Josephs Catholic Church with Father Buddy Breaux officiating. Musical selections will be played and sung by Billie Sue Kramer. Interment will follow in St. Josephs Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday May 20, 2008 from 3:00PM until 10:00PM with a Rosary being prayed at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume Wednesday from 8:00AM until service time. She died Monday May 19, 2008 at 2:05AM in a New Iberia health care facility.

Patricia Vaughn was born in Bogalusa, La. On Dec. 29, 1929. She was a graduate of S.L.I. She was employed with the IPSB(Iberia Parish School Board) for over 40 years as a classroom teacher, assistant principal and principal.

Patricia was involved in many civic organizations including The General Federation of Womens Club. She was an alderman for the Village of Loreauville for several years. She was also an active member of IPAL serving in several productions including More Than Meets the Eye and Lettice and Lovage . She served on the Iberia Parish Regional Planning Commission and as a Eucharistic Minister at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Loreauville.

Survivors include one son; Mark Vaughn and wife Rona from New Iberia and one daughter; Becky Ducrest and husband John from Broussard, three grandsons; Zachary Vaughn and Matthew and Michael Ducrest.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rufus J. Vaughn, her parents; Neil M. McQuaig, Sr. and Corinne Poole McQuaig and two brothers; Neil M. McQuaig, Jr. and Donald McQuaig.

Pallbearers will be Kirk Castille, Taylor Broussard, Mark Henderson, Kenny Vaughn, Lloyd Chip Badeaux and Ken Bonin.
