Abbeville - Funeral Services will be held for Mrs. David Stevens, the former Lula Mae Trahan, 82, at the David Funeral Home Chapel of Abbeville on Thursday, November 8, 2007 at 2:00PM with Pastor Henry Arceneaux officiating. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Abbeville on Wednesday, November 7, 2007 from 10:00AM until 9:00PM and will resume on Thursday, November 8, 2007 from 8:00AM until the time of the services. Interment will be in Abshire Cemetery in Meaux. Mrs. Lula Mae, a native of Scott and a resident of Abbeville, died at 4:20PM on Monday, November 5, 2007 at her residence. She was a member of the American Legion Post 29 Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by her husband, David Stevens of Abbeville; a son, Raymond Guidry of Palocios, TX; three daughters, Janie Santiny of Sulphur, Geneva Provost of Sulphur and Glenda Doucett of Palestine, TX; two sisters, Verdie Arnold of Bourg, LA and Virginia Adam of Houma; two step-daughters, Dorothy Parkin of Little Elm, TX and Mildred Meaux of LeRoy, LA; eight grandchildren; ten step grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; eighteen step great grandchildren; nineteen great great grandchildren; eight step great great grandchildren; and two step great great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Valsin Trahan and Ophelia Lantier Gary; two brothers, Elson Trahan and Nelson Trahan; three sisters, Lucille Hargrave, Marie Santiny and Bertha Eddy; and one step-son, John Carrol Stevens. Family members will be serving as pallbearers. David Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements.
