Erath " Funeral Services for Adam Edward Gaspard, 28, will be held on Monday, August 13, 2007 at 2:00PM at David Funeral Home Chapel of Erath with Fr. Sixtus Ewujiw officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 12, 2007 from 10:00AM until 10:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Monday, August 13, 2007 from 8:00AM until the time of the service. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery.

Mr. Gaspard a native and resident of Abbeville died on Wednesday, August 8, 2007 in Houston, TX. He was the greatest dad anyone could have to his daughter Adia, and was studying to be a math teacher and had done some student teaching at Dozier Elementary School. He was involved in the Erath High School Speech and Drama Club, on the UL Speech and Drama team, and preformed with the Abbey Players. He was also a member of the National Forensic League.

He is survived by his wife, Brandie Steaks Gaspard and their daughter Adia Catherine Marie Gaspard of Abbeville; his father and step mother, Ronald and Melinda Gaspard of Maurice; his mother and step father, Annette and Richard Benoit of Abbeville; his paternal grandfather, Edward T-Neg Gaspard of Delcambre; a brother, Aaron Gaspard of Houston, TX; two sisters, Andrea and her husband Robert Richard, and Angelique and her husband Warren Bourque both of Abbeville; a step sister, Lori Landry of Abbeville; two nieces, Brooklyn Richard and Derrian Gaspard both of Abbeville; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Adam and Eunite Hebert Mergist; and his paternal grandmother, Gladiola Trahan Gaspard.

Pallbearers will be Joel Hohffpauir, Jake Hebert, Robert Richard, Andrew Lejuene, Nehamiah Domingue, and Warren Bourque.

Honorary pallbearers will be Derrian Gaspard, Brooklyn Richard, Dylon Hoffpauir, Drake Hoffpauir, Drew Hoffpauir, and Dax Hoffpauir.

The family has requested in lieu of flowers, donations be made for funeral expense at Gulf Coast Bank in his name.

David Funeral Home of Erath will be handling the arrangements.
