Erath " A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. M.C. Broussard the former Mable Broussard will be held at 9:30AM on Friday, June 27, 2008 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Fr. Wayne Duet and Deacon Leonard Broussard officiating. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Erath on Thursday, June 26, 2008 beginning at 2:00PM until 9:00PM with a Service of Remembrance at 7:00PM in lieu of a rosary. Visitation will resume on Friday, June 27, 2008 beginning at 8:00AM until the time of the services. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Mausoleum.

Mrs. Mable a native and resident of Erath died at 9:50PM on Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at Abbeville General Hospital. She was employed at Bruce Foods for over 47 years, and was a member of the Ladies Alter Society. She was a loving mother and grandmother and was known for her love for gardening, cooking, working, spending time with family, and being a friend to all.

She is survived by two sons, Leonard Broussard and his wife Gerry of Houston, TX and Philip Broussard and his wife Debbie of Lafayette; two daughters, Nell B. Touchet of New Iberia and Ola B. Book and her husband Mike of Erath; two sisters, Nona B. Thibodeaux of Lake Charles and Helen B. Broussard of Lafayette; ten grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, M.C. Broussard; her parents, Oday and Perpetua Butaud Broussard; a daughter, Hildred Broussard; a brother, Nelson Broussard; and two grandchildren, Mark Broussard and Leonard Keith Touchet.

Serving as pallbearers will be Mike Broussard, Donald Broussard, Hubert Trahan, Jules Broussard, Johnny Broussard. Honorary pallbearers will be Wilber Broussard, Vernon Broussard, Ronnie Clark, Neil Clark, and Earl Parquette.

David Funeral Home of Erath at 209 E. Putnum St. (337) 937-0405 will be handling the arrangements.
