Erath " A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Ray Allen Bourque, Sr., 72, at 11:00AM on Saturday, June 28, 2008 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Fr. Wayne Duet officiating. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Erath on Friday, June 27, 2008 beginning at 4:00PM until 10:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Saturday, June 28, 2008 beginning at 8:00AM until the time of the services.

Mr. Bourque, a native and resident of Erath, passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2008 at 2:00PM at his residence. He was a Diesel Mechanic and shrimper, as well as a jack of all trades, with a passion for hunting and fishing. He also served in the National Guard. Mr. Bourque loved animals, especially his beloved dog. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by his loving wife, Therese LeBlanc Bourque of Erath; sons Ray A. Bourque Jr. and his wife Darlene of Erath, Brady A. Bourque and his wife Dianne of Erath, Todd John Bourque Sr. and his wife Katherine of Erath; daughters Teresa Rae Galtier and her husband Lee of Delcambre, Danielle LeBlanc and her husband Chris Sr. of Delcambre; grandchildren Aimee Bourque, Angel Bourque, Tiffany Bourque, Jon Galtier, Kristin LeBlanc, Chris LeBlanc Jr., Destin Galtier, Brody Bourque, Braden Galtier and T.J. Bourque Jr.; great grandchildren Braden Bourque and Kaden Bourque; aunts Kelly Ruth Broussard of Erath and Peggy Brasseaux of Lafayette; and mother-in-law, Hilda LeBlanc of Erath.

He is preceded in death by his parents Rene Bourque and Hazel Menard Toups; and grandchildren Damon Bourque, Hunter Bourque and Brandy Bourque.

Serving as pallbearers will be Brady Bourque, Todd John Bourque Sr., Chris LeBlanc, Lee Galtier, Jon Galtier and Kevin Dubois. Honorary pallbearers will be Aaron Harrington, Charlie Sherman and Jake Viator.

David Funeral Home of Erath at 209 E. Putnam St. (337) 937-0405 will be handling the arrangements.
