Loving Wife Jeanerette"Funeral services for Mrs. Eddie Landry, the former Judy Blanchard, 61, will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. in David Funeral Home Chapel. The Reverend Paul Neel will officiate. Entombment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, St. Martinville. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 7, 2008 from 5:00 P.M. until10:00 P.M. in David Funeral Home, with a rosary to be recited at 6:30 P.M. Visitation will continue on Tuesday from 8:00 A.M until service time in the funeral home. Mrs. Landry passed away on Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at 1:40 P.M. in her New Iberia residence. A native of St. Martinville, Mrs. Landry had lived in New Iberia for many years. She liked playing bingo, and her collection of red cardinal figurines was a source of great enjoyment to her. Mrs. Landry was a very sweet person who had a smile for everyone she met. Survivors include her husband, Eddie Landry of New Iberia; sons, Trey Hendricks of Monroe, Joey Hendricks of Carrabella, FL, and Terry Landry of Jeanerette; daughter, Lisa Landry of Navero, AL; brothers, Dr. Whitney J. Blanchard, Jr. of Huntsville, AL, Miriam Buddy Blanchard of Bakersfield, CA; and Bobbie Blanchard, Sr. of Lacassine; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Preceding her in death were her parents, Whitney J. Blanchard, Sr. and Gloria Laperouse Blanchard. Serving as pallbearers are family and friends of Mrs. Landry. David Funeral Home of Jeanerette, 400 Provost St., 276-5151 is in charge of arrangements.
