Lafayette " A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, July 7, 2008 at 2:00PM in David Funeral Home Chapel, for Mr. George Ray Vallot, age 73. Mr. Vallot passed away on Friday, July 4, 2008 at 1:10AM at Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette. Visitation will begin on Sunday, July 6, 2008 at 3:00PM until 9:00PM and will resume on Monday, July 7, 2008 at 8:00AM until service time. A Rosary will also be recited on Sunday, July 6, 2008 at 7:00PM. The Reverend Carl W. Cormier, pastor of Victory Family Worship Center will be officiating.. Musical selection will be, The Old Rugged Cross , If You Could See Me Now and Amazing Grace . Interment will follow in St. Annes Mausoleum in Youngsville. A native of Lafayette and a resident of Youngsville, Mr. Vallot was a farmer all his life, but his passion was raising horses. Mr Vallot is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Hebert Vallot of Youngsville; daughters, Judy Vallot Stelly and her husband Randy of Carencro and Sarah Vallot Gregory and her husband Steve of Mangham; son, Randal (Heav) Williams Vallot and his wife Dee of Breaux Bridge; daughter-in-law, Melanie Vallot of Broussard; brothers, L.J. Vallot and his wife Leslie of Youngsville and Russell Vallot and his wife Marie of Broussard; sisters, Sylvia Dore of Youngsville, Verna Menard of Youngsville, Brenda Laviolette and her husband J.B. of Broussard and Maydell Crourquet and her husband Paul of Hessner; also surviving are four grandchildren and one great grandchild. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lucien and Evee Guillot Vallot; a son Larry Earl Vallot and one brother, Rodney Vallot. Pallbearers will be Randal Vallot, Randy Stelly, Steve Gregory, Joshua Vallot, L.J. Vallot and Russell Vallot. Honorary pallbearer will be Judy Stelly.
