LOVING HUSBAND, FATHER, GRANDFATHER, SON, AND BROTHER

Lydia"A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Ralph John Pig Prince, 65, will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 24, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. in St. Nicholas Catholic Church. The Reverend Donovan Labbe will serve as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Nicholas Cemetery, Patoutville.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2008 from 12:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M. in David Funeral Home, with a rosary being recited at 6:30 P.M. Visitation will continue on Wednesday from 8:00 A.M. until service time in the funeral home.

Mr. Prince passed away on Monday, December 22, 2008 at 2:48 P.M. in his Lydia residence.

A native of Pittsburgh, PA and lifelong resident of Iberia Parish, Mr. Prince was a welder/fitter. He worked for Morton Salt Company for 15 years, and for Honiron for 15 years. He was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church.

An avid outdoorsman, Mr. Prince loved to fish and to hunt ducks and deer. He was a member of Three Brothers Hunting Club and the Lucky Buck Hunting Club. He cared for and trained dogs, which he ran at fox pens. He garnered many awards for his dog training, including the Louisiana State Championship.

Mr. Princes greatest joy in life was being with and caring for his family, and he especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Myra Hebert Prince of Lydia; mother, Rosa Mae Thibodeaux Prince of Lydia; daughters, Jessica Prince Broussard and fianc, Paul Giroir of Lydia and Janna Prince Broussard and husband, Reggie of Lydia; grandchildren, Trevor Broussard and girlfriend, Lynzie Miller of Lydia, Trenton Broussard of Lydia, Shalyn Rabeaux of New Iberia, and Makenzie Broussard of Lydia; brothers, Harold Bubbie Prince, Jr. and wife, Sherry of Lydia and Ricky Prince and wife, Michelle of Parks; sister, Paula Prince Dooley of Lydia; nephews, Doyle Dooley, Jr. of Youngsville, Gene Prince of Lydia, and Shawn Prince of Parks; nieces, Dawn D. Willis of St. Martinville, Liz Breaux (his Godchild) of Delcambre, and Hallie Guillotte of Loreauville; and mother-in-law, Linda Hebert of Jefferson Island.

Preceding Mr. Prince in death were his father, Harold E. Prince, Sr.; nephew, Jeremy Prince; and father-in-law, Herbert Hebert.

Serving as pallbearers are Trevor Broussard, Gerrit Landry, Harold Bubbie Prince, Jr., Ricky Prince, Tim Derouen, and Billy Migues. Named as honorary pallbearers are Trenton Broussard, Charlie Pharr, Brandon Moss, Makenzie Broussard, Shalyn Rabeaux, Paula Prince Dooley, Gene Prince, Shawn Prince, Doyle Dooley, Jr., Wayne Maturin, Paul Giroir, Reggie Broussard, Ray Boudreaux, Ernest Migues, and Jason Sockawitz.

The family wishes to extend their special thanks to the following for their compassionate care: Dr. Joshi, Delianne, and Steve at Tulane Medical Center; Dr. Andrew Clark and Dr. Perry Stokes; and to all of Mr. Princes family and friends for their care, prayers, and support.
