Jeanerette " Funeral services will be conducted for Mrs. Homer Albert the former Corinne Gary, age 92, on Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at 11:00 AM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Fr. Ed. Degeyter officiating. Interment will follow at St. John Cemetery in Jeanerette. A native and resident of Jeanerette, Corinne died on Monday, November 16, 2009 at 6:25 AM in a Jeanerette Health Care Facility. Visitation will begin on Tuesday, November 17, 2009 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM and will resume on Wednesday, November 18, 2009 from 8:00 AM until service. A rosary will be recited on Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at 6:30 PM in the funeral home. Mrs. Albert loved music and dancing. She is survived by her son Jerry Albert and his wife Joanne of Jeanerette; her daughter, Linda Schexnayder and her husband Walter of Brooke Haven, MS; her sister, Clara Gary Dooley and her husband L. C. of Jeanerette; her grandson, John Albert of Jeanerette; her granddaughters, Kendra Guillotte and her husband Dale of New Iberia, Tansy Graves and her husband Les of Liberty, MS ,Laurie Clement and her husband David, Jr. of Jeanerette; her great grandchildren, Kylie and Megan Guillotte of New Iberia, Connor Hartzog of Liberty, MS and Carlie Albert of Jeanerette. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews whom she dearly loved. She was preceded in death by husband, Homer Albert; her son, Verges Paul Albert; her parents, Sidney Gary, Sr. and Cora Hebert Gary; her brothers, Octave Gary, Sr., Lawless Gary, Sidney Gary, Jr., Leroy Gary, Sr. Charles Gary, Sr. and Elton Gary; her sisters, Georgette Arton, Cora G. Guillotte, Delta G. Derouen and Lucille G. Gauthier. Pallbearers will be family members. David Funeral Home of Jeanerette, 400 Provost St. (337) 276-5151 is in charge of arrangements.
