Loving Husband, Father and Grandfather Jeanerette " Funeral services will be conducted for Huey Paul U.P. Verret, age 78, at 3:00PM on Monday, January 12, 2009 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Father Ed Degeyter officiating. Interment will follow in Beau Pre Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 11, 2009 from 3:00PM until 10:00PM with a rosary being prayed at 6:30PM and visitation will resume on Monday, January 12, 2009 from 8:00AM until service time. A native and lifelong resident of Jeanerette, U.P. died Friday, January 9, 2009 at 11:09PM in a local health care facility. He was retired from Cabot Corporation where he worked as an instrument technician. Mr. Huey enjoyed doing carpentry and fixing things. He also enjoyed working in his yard. Survivors include his wife Joyce Foreman Verret of Jeanerette; five sons, Pat Verret and wife Brenda of Breaux Bridge, Richard Verret of Jeanerette, Larry Verret of Loreauville, Bobby Verret and wife Carrie and Kenny Verret all of New Iberia; one brother, Mayor Arthur Lee Verret of Jeanerette; two sisters; Nileas V. Migues of Avery Island and Ruth V. Desormeaux of New Iberia; eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Euljy Verret Sr. and Masey Migues Verret; four brothers, Drolean, Euljy Tukso Jr., Woodrow and Alvin Te Nu Verret and two sisters, Margaret V. Breaux and Laura Mae V. Bourque. Pallbearers will be Patrick, Larry, Bobby, Kenneth, Richard and Michael Verret. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren, Robie, Kenson, Chad, Kevin, Ryan, Shawn, Shane and Jessica Verret, Tandi Parks and Chantele Muffoletto.
