Shelby Brandon Luke Reed

Rynella " Funeral services will be conducted for Shelby Brandon Luke Reed, 16, on Thursday, July 24, 2008 at 1:00 PM at St. Marcellus Catholic Church with Deacon Theo Landry and Father Donovan Labbe' officiating. Interment will follow in St. Marcellus Mausoleum.

Visitation will begin on Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at 1:00 PM until 10:00 PM and resume on Thursday, July 24, 2008 at 8:00 AM until services. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Wednesday at 6:30 PM.

A native of New Iberia and a resident of Church Point, Shelby died on Sunday, July 20, 2008 at 9:35 PM in Church Point. He loved fresh water fishing, mechanics, camping, playing video games and especially loved his family.

He is survived by his father, Steven Troy Reed and his wife Sammie of Church Point; his mother, Jessica Billiot Charpentier and her husband Michael of Thibodaux; his brothers, Trinity and Seth Charpentier both of Thibodaux, Taite Buteau of Youngsville and Trevor Alexander of Broussard; his sister, Torie Alexander of Church Point; his paternal grandparents, Joe and Mable Romero of New Iberia, Clayton and Velma Reed, Sr. of Jennings; his maternal grandparents, Lorena Billiot and John Verdin, Jr. both of Patterson; paternal great grandmother, Velma Esthay of Jennings; his cousin, Jada Reed of Thibodaux; his uncle and parin, Clayton Tee Reed, Jr. of Church Point, his uncles, Ricky Reed of New Iberia and Bryson Bro Verdin of Patterson; his aunt and nanny, Demetria Dee Verdin of Berwick and his aunts, Kristy Reed of New Iberia and Keyanee Verdin of Amelia.

Pallbearers will be Bryson Verdin, Joe Romero, John Verdin, Jr., Clayton Reed, Sr., Clayton Reed, Jr. and Ricky Reed.

Honorary pallbearers will be Gregory OHowell and Lanny Martin, Jr..
