New Iberia " Funeral Services will be conducted for Mr. Winfred L. Walton, Age 71, at 1:00PM Monday November 19, 2007 at David Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roland Fontenot officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 10:00AM until time of service.There will also be a visitation at Johnson Funeral Home in Georgiana, Alabama Tuesday November 20, 2007from 6:00PM to 8:00PM.A service will be conducted Wednesday November 21, 2007 at 10:00AM at Calvary Baptist Church in Georgianafollowed by interment inthe Union Cemetery in Georgiana.He died Friday November 16, 2007 at 7:07AM in a New Iberia hospital.

A native of Georgiana, Alabama Mr. Walton has been a resident of Jeanerette for the past 4 years. He was a life insurance salesman for 30 years. He was also a Deacon at Calvary Baptist Church in Georgiana, Alabama and played football for the Georgiana Panthers. Mr. Winfred always enjoyed visiting and associating with his many friends in Georgiana. He was married to Mrs. Jossie for 49 years.

I lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association or to Calvary Baptist Church in Georgiana, Alabama.

Survivors include his wife; Jossie Larussa Walton of Jeanerette, one daughter; Debbie W. Lancon and husband Hansel Jr. of Jeanerette, grandchildren; Staff Sgt. Kenneth Lancon of Alaska, Keith Lancon and wife Mary of Jeanerette and Chantel L. Webre and husband Chris of Covington, great grandchildren; Brittney and Chloe Lancon of Jeanerette and Felicity Webre of Covington, two brothers; Ralph Walton of Montgomery, Alabama and Michael Walton of Dallas, Texas and two sisters; Shirley Keesee and Shelby Bass both of Montgomery, Alabama. He was preceded in death by one daughter; Martha Ann Walton and his parents; Labon Scott Walton and Essie Colburn Walton.

Pallbearers will be BobbySellers, Johnny Stinson, Hansel "Boo" Lancon, Kenneth Lancon, Keith Lancon and Mason Bass. Honorary pallbearers will be J.T.Bush, Paul Cottrell, Buddie Turner and Robert Lucky.
