NEW IBERIA ~ A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Ursin Langlinais, the former Lilly Meon Boutte, 80, will be conducted at 10:30 AM Wednesday, July 30, 2008 at David Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ed Degeyter officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Visiting hours will be observed Tuesday, July 29, 2008 from 2:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary being recited at 7:00 PM at David Funeral Home. Visitation will resume Wednesday, July 30, 2008 at 8:00 AM until the time of service at Davids Funeral Home.
A native of Broussard and a resident of Lafayette, Mrs. Langlinais died at 4:52 PM Sunday, July 27, 2008, at Amelia Nursing Home in Lafayette.
Lilly enjoyed cooking, sewing and gardening. She also enjoyed going to the horse races and the casino.
She is survived by her two sons, Russell Langlinais and wife Sherry of New Iberia, and Kim Langlinais of New Iberia; four daughters, Debra Robin and husband Wiley of Breaux Bridge, JoAnn Bonin and husband Cornell of New Iberia, Nancy Langlinais of Lafayette, and Cristine Banovic of Chicago, Illnois; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and three sisters, Una Bourque of New Iberia, Lou Lopez of Coteau and Dot Dugas of St. Martinville.
Mrs. Langlinais was preceded in death by her husband, Ursin Langlinais; and parents, Remus and Eva Romero Boutte; two brothers, Sterling and Stanley Boutte; and two sisters, Eunice Romero and Verna Doucet.
Pallbearers Kim Langlinais, Cornell Bonin, Rodney Bonin, Chase Bonin, Kevin Robin, Marcus Boudreaux and Jorim Hukins.
Honorary pallbearers Lester Boutte and Russell Langlinais.
