Erath - A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Milton Joseph "Tan" Touchet, 84, will be held on Wednesday, August 6, 2008 at 2:00PM at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Erath, with Father Sixtus Iwuji officiating,with Deacon Kendal Faulk assisting. Visitation will begin on Tuesday, August 5, 2008 at 10:00AM until 9:00PM, with a rosary being recited by The Catholic Daughters at 7:00PM on Tuesday. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, August 6, 2008 at 8:00AM until services. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery in Erath.
Mr. Touchet, a native of Kaplan and a resident of Erath, passed away on Saturday, August 2, 2008 at 8:50AM,from injuries sustained in an anutomobile accident.
He is survived by his spouse of 64 years, Elite Vice Touchet; son Norman Gene Touchet and his wife Sandra of Erath; grandsons Jonathan Touchet and his wife Crystal of Erath and Wilbert Joseph Touchet of Delcambre; granddaughter, Channtina Touchet and her fiance Thomas Parrett of Milton; great-grandsons, Tyler James, Michael John and Nathan Paul Touchet of Erath; sisters, Agnes Touchet Hargrave, Avia Langlinais, and Nolie Touchet Faulk all of Kaplan; one brother, Clifford Joseph Touchet of Kaplan.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ovide and Emethilde Schexnayder Touchet; brothers, Dewey Touchet, Rudy Touchet, Mayo Touchet, Clarence Touchet, Willis Joseph Touchet and Isaac Touchet; sisters, Lena Touchet, Etta Touchet, OLivia Touchet Meaux, Aliva Touchet Dartez and Meah Touchet Marceaux.
Pallbearers will be Jonathan Touchet, Wilbert Touchet, Kenneth Foreman, Alfredo Juarez, Tommie Renard and Dennis Faulk. Honorary Pallbearers will be Tyler James Touchet and Michael John Touchet,and Thomas Parrett.
