Dolores Bouton Darby

Rynella " A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Mrs. Melvin Darby Sr. the former Dolores Bouton, Age 70, Thursday August 7, 2008 at 2:00PM at St. Marcellus Catholic Church with Father Donovan Labbe and Deacon Theo Landry officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. She died Monday August 4, 2008 at 12:03PM in a local hospital. Visitation will be Wednesday August 6, 2008 from 11:00AM until 10:00PM with a Rosary being prayed at 6:00PM and again Thursday from 8:00AM until service time.

A native of Franklin Mrs. Darby had been a longtime resident of New Iberia who enjoyed playing bingo. She loved all of her family and her two dogs Snickers and Walker.

Survivors include her mother; Gertie Stevens Bouton of New Iberia, three daughters; Dolores Ann Darby and companion Ruddy Martinez of New Iberia, Donna Landry and husband Nolan, Sr. of Plaquemine and Theresa Ann Darby of New Iberia, three sons; Robert Monroe Darby and wife Michelle of Cecilia, Melvin Darby, Jr. and wife Laura of New Iberia and Gene Allan Darby and wife Tonya of Erath, two brothers; Earl and Eldridge Bouton both of Franklin and one sister; Dru Rattcliff of Monroe,twenty -onegrandchildren andseven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Melvin Darby, Sr., her father, Robert Bouton and a great grandson, Landon Joshua Landry.

Pallbearers will be Nolan Landry Sr., Sgt. Nolan Landry Jr., Sgt. Eric James Darby, Spc. Brandon Paul Darby, Gene Allan Darby and Durphy Bourque.

Honorary pallbearers will be Robert, Cody, Joey and Hunter Darby, Logan Segura, Ruddy James Martinez, Joseph Monroe Landry and Chad Edward Touchet.
