Erath " Funeral Services will be held on September 6, 2007 at 11:00AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Erath, for Mr. Joseph Pierre Geoffroy, who passed away on August 31, 2007 at Abbeville General Hospital in Abbeville. Rev. Wayne Duet will be officiating.

Interment will be in Our Lady of the Lake Mausoleum in Delcambre.

Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home in Erath on Wednesday, September 5, 2007 from 11:00AM until 9:00PM and will resume on Thursday, September 6, 2007 at 8:00AM until service time. A rosary will be recitated on Wednesday at 7:00PM.

Mr. Geoffroy was a World War II veteran of Company "D", 69th Infantry 272nd regiment.

Mr. Geoffroy is survived by his wife, Mildred Laviolette Geoffroy; one daughter, Nella Crusan and her husband Derek of Lafayette; two sons, Nelson Geoffroy and his wife Gay of Erath and Wayne Hollier and his wife Shelly of New Iberia; one brother Leo Geoffroy of Erath; two sisters Isabelle Richard of Lafayette and Maudrey LeBlanc and her husband Al of Baton Rouge.He is also survived by two grandsons; Dylan and Taylor Geoffroy of Erath and one granddaughter, Madison Geoffroy also of Erath.

Mr. Geoffroy is preceded in death by his parents; Leopold and Lucille Frederick Geoffroy; three sisters, Nella Romero, Sophia Lee and Ouida Stelly.

Pallbearers will be Phillip Romero, George Romero, Allen Richard, David Richard, Grady Geoffroy and James LeBlanc. Honorary Pallbearers will be his grandchildren, Dylan Geoffroy, Taylor Geoffroy and Madison Geoffroy.
