He died Friday, August 22, 2008 at 10:55PM in a local hospital.
Ronnie was a native of Weeks Island and a resident of Lydia. He served as a radio operator in the U.S. Air Force. He worked as an electrician for 30 years and was a retiree of Morton Salt. He enjoyed LSU football and baseball, fishing and spending time with his friends at Dagos.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Loretta Guidry Guidroz of Lydia; son, Ronald Joey Guidroz Jr. of Lydia; daughters, Lynette DeRouen and husband Errol of Rynella and Bobbi Lopez and husband Rusty of Lydia; sisters, Joyce Hebert and husband Joe of Lydia and Inez Robicheaux and husband Beau of Franklin; brother, Leo Boo Guidroz and wife Cheryl of Lydia; two grandsons, Erron DeRouen and wife Aline and Errik DeRouen all of Rynella; 3 granddaughters, Brandi Klibert and husband Bryan of Gonzales, Brittani and Bethani Guidroz both of Lydia; 2 great grandchildren, Tyler DeRouen of Rynella and Nora Klibert of Gonzales. Two more great grandchildren are due in mid January.
He was preceded in death by his parents,Leo Guidroz, Sr. and Edith Chauvin Guidroz.
Pallbearers will be Erron DeRouen, Errik DeRouen, Bubbie Prince, Bryan Klibert, Doug Gaspard and Matthew Rivet.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dwayne Derise, Gene Prince, Colby Champagne, Blair Hebert, Laney Guidroz and Chuck Guidry.
