Melba Rodriquez Viator

A native of St. Martinville and a resident of Maurice Mrs. Viator died at 10:35AM on Friday, September 5, 2008 at her resident. She was a graduate of St Martinville High School and Delta School of Business; employed at Martin Mills for over 13 years and was a secretary at Dugals Nursery for over 25 years; a member of the Milton Ladies Kaycee Auxiliary; and was a seamstress.

Mrs. Viator is survived by her husband of 51 years, Albert Viator of Maurice; a daughter, Yvonne Viator Breaux and her husband John Breaux, Jr. of Maurice; a son, Daniel Ray Viator and his wife Pamela of Mire; a brother, Ronald P. Lege of Lafayette; a sister, Geraldine T. Borel of New Iberia; a grandchild, Jennifer Lynn Viator of Lafayette; and four god children, Dennis Perioux of St. Martinville, Arlene Borel Romero of New Iberia, Nanette Jones of Mobile, AL and Mary Tabb of Broussard.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ignace Rodriguez and Yolande Perioux Lege; and a grandchild, Cody Michael Viator.

Serving as pallbearers will be Daniel Viator, John Breaux, Jr., Ronald Lege, Bryan Lege, Dennis Perioux, and Don Jones.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Albert Viator, Jennifer Viator, Yvonne Breaux, Pamela Viator,Geraldine Borel, Vida Lege', and Eunice Hebert.

David Funeral Home of Lafayette at 316 Youngsville Hwy (337) 837-9887 will be handling the arrangements.
