Loving mother and grandmother NEW IBERIA ~ A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Hilarie Elie LeBlanc, the former Annie Mae Romero, 86, will be conducted at 12:00 PM Saturday, September 6, 2008 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with the Rev. Salvino Ruben Primor officiating. Interment will follow in Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery. Visiting hours will be observed Friday, September 5, 2008 from 10:00 AM until the time of service Saturday, September 6, 2008 with a rosary being recited at 7:00 PM at David Funeral Home. A native of Vermilion Parish and a resident of New Iberia, Mrs. LeBlanc died at 8:45 PM Wednesday, September 3, 2008, at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria. Mrs. LeBlanc was a caregiver to her brother Francis. She loved sewing and gardening. She is survived by her son, Raymond LeBlanc and wife Linda of New Iberia; granddaughter, Annette L. Kelsch and husband Chris of Arnaudville; grandsons, Todd Doc LeBlanc and companion Alecia of New Iberia, Chris LeBlanc of New Iberia, Brent LeBlanc and companion Randie of New Iberia, and Donny LeBlanc of Lafayette; great-grandchildren, Joshua Sonnier of New Iberia, Jordan LeBlanc of New Iberia, Emily Barber of Rhode Island, Hilarie and Emma LeBlanc both of Lafayette; step-great-grandchildren, Carissa Kelsch of Arnaudville, and Slone Girouard of Broussard; nephew, Ed Allen Romero of Lafayette; and nieces, Elma Primeaux of Erath, Theresa Viator of New Iberia, and Jane Stelly of Lafayette. Mrs. LeBlanc was preceded in death by her husband, Hilarie Elie LeBlanc; parents, Albert and Parpateuse Meyers Romero; sisters, Nilta Eve and Nilda Romero; brother, Francis Q. Romero; half-sister, Marie Gerard; and half-brothers, Everest and Evest Romero. Pallbearers will be Todd Doc LeBlanc, Chris LeBlanc, Brent LeBlanc, Donny LeBlanc, Joshua Sonnier and Jordan LeBlanc. David Funeral Home of New Iberia, 1101 Trotter Street (337) 369-6336, is in charge of the arrangements.
