Loving Mother, Grandmother and Sister Loreauville " A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Mrs. Albert J. Bruce Broussard the former Mabel Dugas, age 82, at 11:00AM Wednesday September 10, 2008 at St. Josephs Catholic Church with Father Bill Melancon officiating. Interment will follow at All Saints Mausoleum. Visitation will be Tuesday September 9, 2008 from 2:00PM until 10:00PM with a Rosary being prayed at 6:30PM. Visitation will resume Wednesday from 8:00AM until service time. A resident of Lafayette and longtime resident of Loreauville Mrs. Broussard died Saturday September 6, 2008 at 11:43PM in a Lafayette health care facility. She enjoyed music, camping and cooking. She was also a plane spotter during WWII. Survivors include her children; Ted W. Broussard and wife Patricia of Carencro, Nancy Broussard Bienvenu and husband Bruce of St. Martinville, Eraste Tony Bruce Broussard and wife Karen of Scott and Al Michael Broussard and wife Dayna of Loreauville, one sister; Melba Verret of Loreauville, three brothers; Claude Nook Dugas and wife Nola of Loreauville, Tan Dugas and John Creed Dugas and wife Marion of New Iberia, 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Albert J. Bruce Broussard, one daughter; Barbara Broussard Walker, parents; Antoine and Emma Broussard Dugas and one great grandchild; Lisa Ann Broussard. Pallbearers will be Chris, Ben, Marc and Grant Broussard, Marty Bienvenu and Todd Clements. Honorary pallbearers will be John Broussard and Joshua Clements.
