Lovenia Vincent Barker

Erath " Lovenia Vincent Barker, 79, resident of Erath passed away on August 18, 2008 at Heritage Manor in Abbeville, Louisiana. She was a retired school teacher in the Arizona School system with 25 years as a teacher on the Indian Reservations in Flagstaff and Tuba City. Ms. Barker then moved to Grand Isle, Louisiana where she taught third grade for eleven years where she retired from the Louisiana School System. She was preceded in death by her husband Roy Barker, parents Freddie and Pamela Vincent of Erath, brothers L. J., Roland and Freddie Vincent Jr., and one sister Mrs. Floyd Hebert. She is survived by three sisters Diana V. Callahan of Abbeville, Louisiana, Jeanette V. Miguez of Delcambre and Delsey V. Perrin of Lafayette, three brothers, Murphy and Thomas Vincent of Erath, and Carson Vincent of Butler, Ohio. Memorial services will be held at a later date with David Funeral Home of Erath in charge of arrangements.
