LOVING HUSBAND, FATHER, GRANDFATHER, AND GREAT-GRANDFATHER Loreauville"A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Loicey Jean Pommier, 74, will be celebrated on Saturday, September 13, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. in St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Reverend Buddy Breaux will serve as celebrant. Entombment will follow in All Saints Mausoleum. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 12, 2008 from 11:00 A.M. until 10:00 P.M. in David Funeral Home, with a rosary to be recited at 6:30 P.M. Visitation will continue on Saturday from 8:00 A.M. until service time in the funeral home. Mr. Pommier passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at 7:30 P.M. in his Loreauville residence. A native of Lyons Point, Mr. Pommier was a longtime resident of Loreauville. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Mr. Pommier retired in 2002 after 29 years of dedicated work at Cajun Sugar Coop, where he was a field foreman. He enjoyed going to the casino, and he had a license plate on his truck which stated, Semi Retired " Casino Bound . Mr. Pommier took pride in keeping his yard, home, and vehicles looking good, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Elaine Huval Pommier of Loreauville; sons, Larry James Blue Pommier, Sr. of Breaux Bridge and Tommy Joseph Pommier and wife, Bonnie of Loreauville; daughters, Belinda Faye Fabacher of Groves, TX and Dianna Marie Mills and husband, Dale of Church Point; grandchildren, Larry James Roscoe Pommier, Jr. and wife, Keri of Breaux Bridge, Mandy Pommier of Breaux Bridge, Jessie Viator and wife, Leslie of Loreauville, Laura Kenny and husband, Sean of Florien, Linsey Fabacher of Lake Charles, Nicholas Justin Olivier and wife, Christine of Arnaudville, Kristin Ann Olivier and companion, Corey Bullard of Arnaudville, Amanda Marguerite Olivier and fianc, Stephen Herpin of Arnaudville, and Caleb Israel Olivier of Arnaudville; great-grandchildren, Gavin Daniel Viator and Madelyn Claire Viator of Loreauville and Jolie Marie Olivier and Justin Michael Olivier of Arnaudville; brothers, Howard Pommier and wife, Lauris of Loreauville and Roy Pommier of Kaplan; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Preceding Mr. Pommier in death were his parents, Simonet and Noelia LeBlanc Pommier; son, Allen Joseph Pommier; and brothers, Percy Pommier, Wilson Pommier, and Luby Pommier. Serving as pallbearers are Howard Pommier, Roy Pommier, Tommy Pommier, Larry Blue Pommier, Sr., Larry Roscoe Pommier, Jr., and Dale Mills. Named as honorary pallbearers are Claude Chastant, Gregory Chastant, Forbus Mestayer, and L.J. LeBlanc. David Funeral Home of Loreauville, 118 Main Street, 229-8338 is in charge of arrangements.
