Abbeville ~ A Funeral Service, honoring the life of Ms. Rosa Mae Robinson, will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2008 at 2:00PM at St. Mary Congregational Church, 213 South Louisiana Avenue in Abbeville. Reverend Kevin M.A. Williams will be officiating. Ms. Robinson, age 68, passed away on Sunday, September 14, 2008 at 8:45AM at Vermilion Health Care in Kaplan, Louisiana. Visitation will begin on Saturday, September 27, 2008 at David Funeral Home in Abbeville at 10:00AM until 1:00 PM and then visitation will begin at St. Mary Congregational Church from 1:00PM until services.
Interment will be held at Pleasant Green Cemetery in Abbeville.
Ms. Rosa is survived by her father, Charlie Robinson, Sr. of Houston; one son, Ricky Robinson and his wife Natasha of Houston; two daughters, Shelia Matthews and her husband Terry and Sandra Viltz and her husband Alfred all of Abbeville; six brothers, three half-brothers, one step-brother, three sisters, seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, one aunt Lucille Boudreaux and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Beatrice Paul Harrison and step-father Adam Harrison, Sr,; one son, Steven Robinson; one brother, Leonard Harrison. one sister, Mary Nell Briggs and one nephew, Robert Earl Briggs, Sr.
The family would like to express their sincere thanks to everyone at Vermilion Health Care Nursing Home, St. Theresa Hospice and Pallative Care, Inc. and Abbeville General Hospital.
