Loving Mother and Grandmother New Iberia " Funeral Services will be conducted for Mrs. Otis Romero the former Therese Tee Fitch, Age 84, at 12:00 Noon Friday September 28, 2007 at David Funeral Home Chapel with Father Ed Degeyter officiating. Private interment will follow at a later date at St. Nicholas Mausoleum. Visitation will be Friday from 9:00AM until time of service with a Rosary at 11:00AM. She died Wednesday September 26, 2007 at 6:48PM in a local hospital. A native of Patoutville Tee had been a longtime resident of Jeanerette. She enjoyed playing Bouree with her family and friends. She also loved listening to French music. Survivors include two sons; Edric Romero and wife Lois of Costa Mesa, California and Russ Romero, Sr. and wife Danette of Jeanerette, three daughters; Karen Simmons and husband Ray of New Iberia, Tina Aucoin and husband Leon Butch and Janet Thomas and husband Raymond of Jeanerette, two brothers; Sylvester Fitch of Raceland and Walter Fitch, Sr. of Jeanerette and two sisters Shirley Duhon and Adley McLeod both of Jeanerette. She was preceded in death by her husband; Otis Romero, parents; Relius and Ament Bonin Fitch, one son; Kim Romero, four brothers; Bolo, Black, Shorty and Jimmy Fitch and two sisters; Corinne Lancon and Daisy Guillotte. Pallbearers will be Russ Romero,Sr., Russ Romero, Jr., Leon Butch Aucoin, Raymond Blackie Thomas, Chase Simmons and Jeff Aucoin. Howard Duhon, Jr. and Kieth Sam will serve as honorary pallbearers.
