LOVING FATHER, GRANDFATHER, GREAT-GRANDFATHER, AND GREAT-GREAT-GRANDFATHER Jeanerette"A Mass of Christian Burial for Madio Joseph Guillotte, 93, will be celebrated on Monday, August 18, 2008 at 10:30AM in St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. The Reverend Ed Degeyter will serve as celebrant. Entombment will follow in St. John the Evangelist Catholic Mausoleum. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 17, 2008 from 4:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. in David Funeral Home, with a rosary to be recited at 6:30 P.M. Visitation will continue on Monday from 8:00 A.M. until service time in the funeral home. Mr. Guillotte passed away on Friday, August 15, 2008 at 1:02 P.M. in a New Iberia hospital. A native and lifelong resident of Jeanerette, Mr. Guillotte was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. He was a very accomplished gardener, and it was said that he had two green thumbs . He grew roses, fruit trees, vegetables, and anything that would grow in the ground. Mr. Guillotte loved to be on the go, and he never met a stranger. He enjoyed playing cards and dancing, but his greatest joy in life was being with his family, especially his grandchildren. Survivors include his sons, Theophile J. Guillotte and wife, Helen of Franklin and Callie J. Guillotte and wife, Glenda of Sumpter, SC; daughters, Patricia Pat Lenoir of New Iberia, Leola Lee Gaudin of Metairie, and Elda Elle Guillotte of Jeanerette; grandchildren, Rene Collins and friend, Jim Boyt of Jeanerette, Bruno Lenoir and wife, Pamela of New Iberia, Nathan Lenoir and wife, Sophie of Phoenix, AZ, Celeste Iseringhausen and husband, Ferdie of Church Point, Wayne Gaudin and friend, Michelle of Houston, TX, Keith Gaudin and wife, Tricia of Metairie, Derek Gaudin and wife, Margaret of Pontchatoula, Melvin Gaudin and wife, Melissa of Metairie, Theophile Guillotte II and wife, Deborah of Broussard, Kimberly Kim Guillotte of Franklin, and Aimee Guillotte of Columbia, SC; 24 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Preceding Mr. Guillotte in death were his wife, Marie Landry Guillotte; parents, Theophile Joseph and Celeste Boudreaux Guillotte; brothers, Taylor Guillotte, Roaul Guillotte and Alcide Guillotte; sisters, Clodelle Delcambre, Clothilde Provost, and Leola Guillotte; grandchildren, Julie Brinkman Eric Lenoir; and great-grandchild, Courtney Gaudin. Serving as pallbearers are Bruno Lenoir, Nathan Lenoir, Theophile Guillotte II, Wayne Gaudin, Derek Gaudin, Melvin Gaudin, and Keith Gaudin. Named as honorary pallbearers are Rene Van Guillotte, Amanda Lenoir, Lisa Lenoir, Megan Gaudin, Rene Collins, Celeste Isringhausen, Kim Guillotte, and Noelle Lenoir. David Funeral Home of Jeanerette, 400 Provost Street, 276-5151 is in charge of arrangements.
