Forked Island " A Mass of Christian Burial for Jimmy Robert Nicholas, 28, will be held at 2:00PM on Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at St. Anne Catholic Church with Fr. Randy Morrow officiating. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Abbeville beginning on Monday, October 5, 2009 from 3:00PM until 10:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Tuesday, October 6, 2009 from 8:00AM until the time of the services. Interment will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery. A native of Abbeville and a resident of Forked Island Mr. Nicholas died on Saturday, October 3, 2009. He enjoyed fishing and riding four wheelers. Jimmy was always willing to help someone. He is survived by his wife, Amanda M. Nicholas of Forked Island; two sons, Kayde and Koen Nicholas both of Forked Island; his father, Robert Wayne Nicholas and his wife Cindy of Erath; his mother, Beverly Ann Bourque of Abbeville; three sisters, Michelle Taylor, Amie Nicholas, and Kayla Case all of Erath; his great grandmother, Hortense Bourque of Abbeville; and his father and mother in law, Lawrence and Ruby S. Marceaux of Forked Island. Serving as pallbearers will be Seth Vidallia, Warren Bourque, Jacob Marceaux, Jody Marceaux, Preston Miguez, and Paul Bourque. David Funeral Home of Abbeville at 2600 Charity St. (337)893-3777 will be handling the arrangements.
