New Iberia"Funeral services for Charles Michael Chuck Dancause, 50, will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. in First United Methodist Church. The Reverend Bobby Cormier will officiate. Interment will follow in Beau Pre Memorial Park Cemetery, Jeanerette. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 31, 2008 from 4:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. in David Funeral Home, and will continue on Saturday from 8:00 A.M. until service time in the funeral home. Mr. Dancause passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at 4:13 P.M. near Jeanerette in rural Iberia Parish. A longtime resident of the New Iberia area, Chuck was a tool design engineer for Thru-Tubing Systems. He was an avid fisherman. His greatest joy in life, however, was caring for and being with his wife and daughters, to whom he was lovingly devoted. Survivors include his wife, Lynette Thibodeaux Dancause of New Iberia; daughters, Shanie Dancause of New Iberia and Alix Dancause of New Iberia; mother, Rosemary Davey Dancause of New Iberia; sister, Laura Dancause Gaspard and husband, Marcus of Lydia; brother Kenneth Dancause and wife, Betty of Normal, IL; mother-in-law, Mrs. Iva Mae Thibodeaux of Lydia; sister-in-law, Shari Tarbutton and husband, Tim of New Iberia; brother-in-law, Ricky Thibodeaux and wife, Lana of New Iberia; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Preceding Chuck in death was his father, Charles L. Dancause. Serving as pallbearers are Doug Gaspard, Ryan Gaspard, Michael Dancause, Tyler Tarbutton, Ricky Thibodeaux, and Reggie Thibodeaux. Named as honorary pallbearers are Kenneth Dancause, marcus Gaspard, Tim Tarbutton, Trent Tarbutton, Paul Tassin, and Ban Green.
