Ronald Toups

Erath " Funeral Services for Ronald Toups, 64, will be held 2:00PM on Tuesday, January 6, 2009 at David Funeral Home Chapel of Erath with Fr. Chester Arceneaux officiating. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Erath beginning Monday, January 5, 2009 from 4:00PM until 10:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Tuesday, January 6, 2009 from 8:00AM until the time of the service. Interment will follow at St. Paul Cemetery. Mr. Toups a native and resident of Erath died at 11:15AM on Sunday, January 4, 2009 at his residence. He retired as a captain with the Abbeville Fire Department after over 28 year of service; was a former Knights of Columbus; and was known for his love to play cards. He is survived by two sons, Todd Toups and his wife Nelia of Jackson, MS and Chad Toups and his wife Michelle of Lafayette; two brothers, Mickey Toups of Erath and Dalton Toups of Abbeville; two sisters, Dorothy Pere and Julie Choate both of Abbeville; and five grandchildren, Haley Nicole Toups, Hannah Gabriel Toups, Natalie Anne Toups, Aiden Michael Toups, and Claire Olivia Toups. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilton and Lorena Touchet Toups. Serving as pallbearers will be family members. David Funeral Home of Erath at 209 E.
